HEFEI - Regular direct flights will be launched between the Chinese mainland city of Huangshan and Taipei on January 18, which will hopefully further boost the tourism market of both regions.
Taiwan's EVA Air will operate the new air route with three direct flights per week, according to authorities with the Huangshan Airport.
Huangshan, in the eastern Anhui province, boasts the picturesque Mount Huangshan, a world cultural and natural heritage site.
Every year, hundreds of thousands of Taiwan tourists visit Huangshan.
Mount Huangshan and the renowned Mount Ali in Taiwan became "sister mountains" in 2009, against the backdrop of an increasing number of visitors from both sides.
