If you have a few dozen spare dumplings in your cupboard and want to get rid of them, Pan Yizhong may be just your man.

This week Pan downed 148 dumplings (equivalent to a dozen or so Big Macs) for just one meal in a challenge in Changsha of central China’s Hunan province, Changsha Evening Newspaper reported.

In June Pan ate 40 bowls of rice noodles in 13 minutes and 44 seconds. His ambition is to take part in a big-eater competition in the US.

Pan, who is single, said his ideal companion was someone with a similarly big appetite for food and for challenges.
