SANAA - Chinese ambassador in Sanaa Liu Denglin on Monday stressed that Yemen's prolonged political crisis would only be solved through internal dialogue and peaceful means, the Yemeni official Saba news agency reported.

During a meeting with Yemeni Trade and Industry Minister Hisham Sharaf, Liu reaffirmed the Chinese government's position of supporting the security, stability and unity of Yemen, saying that Yemen's stability concerns the international community and emphasizing that the ongoing political crisis should be resolved through internal dialogue and peaceful means.

For his part, Sharaf hailed the stance of the Chinese government and its continuing economic support to Yemen, briefing the ambassador on the latest development in the political arena in Yemen.

Yemen has witnessed months-long unrest, severely undermining the security and economic situation.
