BEIJING - About 365 million passengers are expected to journey by train during the summer travel peak season this year, according to the Ministry of Railways (MOR) on Monday.

On a daily basis, the country's railway system will transport an average of 5.89 million people per day.
The railway system's passenger transportation capability is expected to increase by 9.6 percent after a rescheduling of train journeys nationwide is implemented on July 1.
Most railway passengers this summer will be tourists, while students returning home for their summer vacation will also put pressure on passenger flow, said MOR.
