Iran president says ready to hold nuke talks

ASTANA - Iran is ready to hold dialogue with six nations on the Iranian nuclear issue, Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said here on Tuesday.

During a meeting with Chinese President Hu Jintao, Ahmadinejad said Iran is willing to resolve the Iranian nuclear issue through dialogue and cooperation.

Iran is also willing to keep communication with the Chinese side on the issue, he added.

The six nations consist the five permanent members of the UN Security Council and Germany.

Ahmadinejad was invited here to attend the summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, which is set to open on Wednesday.
