Office Ironman storms the Internet

Wearing a powered suit of armor, Wang Kang stuns his office colleagues in Shanghai with his homemade Iron Man costume on June 3, 2011. Despite winning praise from his colleagues and supervisor for strutting through the office dressed as a superhero, the company’s security guard ordered the 25-year-old to lay down his outfit at first.

Wang became an immediate Internet sensation after the image was posted on China's twitter-like micro blogging service weibo.com. The costume, made of high density foam, wires and tubes in just three months, weighs 50 kilograms and cost 3,000 yuan ($460). Wang said he came up with the idea after watching the Iron Man movie in 2008. [Photo/weibo.com]
