China's anti-drug law enforcement departments cracked 89,000 cases of drug related crimes in 2010, with 101,000 suspects arrested, People's Daily said Wednesday citing a recent report.

A total of 175,000 drug users were under compulsive isolated drug rehabilitation, and 96,000 in neighborhood treatment programs, according to the 2011 China anti-drug report issued by the China National Narcotics Control Commission.

The report said more than 214,000 people became new drug users in 2010.
