BEIJING - Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi will attend the 10th Foreign Ministers' Meeting of the Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM) in the Royal Palace of Godollo, near the Hungarian capital of Budapest from June 6 to 7.

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Jiang Yu made the announcement Tuesday at a briefing.

"Working Together on Non-Traditional Security Challenges" will be the meeting's theme, which will focus on climate change, food, water and energy security, and terrorism, Jiang said.

She said the meeting will also comprehensively review the ASEM's cooperation process in political, economic, social and cultural areas.

Yang was invited by EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Margaret Ashton and Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs Martonyi Janos, Jiang said.
