Updated: 2011-05-25 08:54
(China Daily)
A bus driver in Wuhan, capital of Hubei province, recently called the police to stop a woman from declaring her affection to him.
The driver, surnamed Wen, is 37 and single. He thought the 23-year-old woman was a superior and gave her his phone number on May 9. She continued to get on his bus every day, standing next to him and declaring her affection, until Wen stopped taking her. She then started waiting for him to finish work at the bus station. Wen said he had no intention of having a relationship with her. On May 12, Wen sent the woman home and asked her family to stop her from following him. But the next day she reappeared and Wen called the police.
However, police officers said they are unable to help because the woman had not made any aggressive advances.
