(China Daily)
A controversial show named Body Hung Up was staged in Chengdu after an online request for volunteers' participation.
On May 14, two female volunteers were hooked through the skin of their back, and slowly raised into the air, causing the some 60 people in the audience to scream or cheer.
Despite the reactions of the audience, the volunteers said there was little pain when the skin was punctured, but being hung up in the air was exciting because they felt like they were "flying".
The 22-year-old organizer, who called himself Nutter, said the wounds will heal in a week and revealed that about 60 people have already taken part in such events in China.
Claiming to be a human body modification professional, Nutter also showed the audiences his tongue, which has been split in two similar to a snake's.
