Beijing may get hit by a round of mud rain Monday evening, as both dust and rain are expected to arrive in the afternoon, the Beijing-based Legal Evening News reported.
The capital is predicted to be affected by floating dust this afternoon, as strong sandstorms had taken form in part of North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region Sunday. Those storms could be a major source of the sand en route to Beijing, the paper said.
The sand storm may run into a rain storm predicted to strike before night time Monday, which may mix to create mud rain, the newspaper reported.
The report warned that people exposed to the mud rain may end up covered by a layer of dry dirt.
