Three years after the massive 8.0 magnitude earthquake which ravaged a large number of towns and cities in Southwest China's Sichuan province on May 12, 2008, the reconstruction work has been almost carried out, in an orderly and nice manner, as the publicity department dubbed it as a "miracle".

"The achievement Sichuan has made on the restoration and reconstruction is highly remarkable. It is indeed a miracle." said Tao Junpei, acting editor-in-chief of sichuan.scol.com.cn at a reception dinner Friday evening for altogether 46 journalists from major websites in China, who are invited to Chengdu, capital of the province, for a six-day coverage concentrating on its remarkable recovery since the quake.

"Actually the fast reconstruction work in some regions has boosted the local economy to a level that might have taken more than 30 years to reach." He added.

To see is to believe. Over the next six days, journalists will visit a great many quake-hit towns on three routes. The progress of the post-quake construction is ready to roll out, as wished.
