"Kizuna", reads the headline used by Japan's prime minister Naoto Kan for his thank-you note published in People's Daily Monday.

His kind words came in response to the continual aid from the international world including China in the past month following the massive 9.0-magnitude earthquake and devastating tsunami which triggered a severe nuclear leak crisis.

The reconstruction is being carried out, according to Kan, adding the government will try its best to stabilize the situation at the crippled Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant.

Kan also believes in the revival and prospect of Japan with joint efforts from home and abroad.

The prime minister has sent the grateful letter to international media in hope that they will deliver the thankful message from the country.

As of April 10, the Chinese government has given relief materials valued at 30 m yuan ($4.6 m) in three batches of aid to Japan, including 10,000 tons of gasoline and 10,000 tons of diesel. The Red Cross Society of China added another 20 m yuan donation.
