Traffic police in Guilin, in the Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, responding to a report that there was a dead woman's body on a local highway, were startled to see the woman suddenly sit upright.

The police received the report in a call from a driver around 11 am on March 7. The caller said that the person responsible for the death had escaped.

When police arrived at the scene and tried to examine the dead body, the woman suddenly sat up, glanced around, and lay back down again without a word.

Afterwards, some local medical personnel were able to identify the woman, and say that she suffered from mental problems and was often seen around a nearby town.
