China will keep enhancing international cooperation on copyright protection, according to statements made at a conference jointly held by the Copyright Society of China, a non-government organization, and UK Trade and Investment in Beijing on Tuesday.

Liu Yicheng, deputy sectary-general of the society, said at the conference that the society attaches importance to copyright protection in the digital publishing industry and will actively solve the problem of copyright infringements by conducting more international cooperation.

Gareth Hoar, deputy director of UK Trade and Investment for China, said such communication is an excellent example of two countries working to develop best practices in promoting intellectual property rights cooperation.
