Japan quake won't affect Chinese mainland 'obviously'

BEIJING -- The powerful earthquake that hit Japan Friday afternoon will not affect the Chinese mainland "obviously," despite a tremor felt in parts of Beijing, top Chinese seismological official Chen Jianmin told Xinhua Friday.
