Richard Yu: The most effective carrier of AI will be intelligent phone

Yu Chengdong, also known as Richard Yu, CEO of Huawei Consumer Business Group, has claimed that intelligent phones that combine AI and smartphone will be the most effective carrier of AI in the future.

"In the era of intelligent phone, phone will not only serve as each individual's personal assistant but even will become another self of one, far beyond the devices that only have functions of calling and internet-surfing," Yu said in his speech at the Mobile Internet Forum during the third WIC Thursday.

He said a new information management structure will be introduced into the intelligent phone, which can enable the phone to issue information flow to the real world and human at the same time.

"It means there will be two key changes: one is in the relation between phone and the real world, which includes actively cognizing the real world and interacting with it; another is in the relation between phone and human, which is two-way communication can be achieved."
