BEIJING - China's civil aviation industry achieved steady growth in 2014, the civil aviation authority said Friday.
Air travelers on domestic and international flights hit 392 million, up 10.7 percent year on year, according to the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC).
The industry generated operation revenue of 619 billion yuan ($101 billion), up 8.2 percent. Profits climbed 14 percent to reach 28.9 billion yuan, 3.5 billion yuan more than the previous year.
However, there is still room for improvement in terms of punctuality rates, which posted 68.4 percent last year, down from 72 percent in 2013, the CAAC said.
