From fitness monitors to smart watches, the wearable technology is generating significant consumer buying interest. The Apple Watch Edition that costs 126,800 yuan ($20,402) in the Chinese mainland were snapped up in less than an hour on April 10, the preorder date and the first day you can try the Watch on in an Apple Store, according to Tech website businessInsider.com.
Data from International Data Corporation showed that almost 50 million wearable devices will be shipped worldwide in 2015, up from 19.6 million units in 2014. Let's take a look at the top five most popular wearable devices in China, according to South China Morning Post.
No 5: Bong X
Bong is a domestic emerging wearables brand focusing on tracking health data while users participate in sports, or while they sleep. The company has focused on developing longer battery life while keeping its devices affordable. The latest version of the device, the Bong X (US$22-36) supports both iOs and Andriod systems.
