UNITED NATIONS - China hopes for a universally beneficial financial system and backs the international efforts in fostering inclusive finance, Vice Premier Zhang Gaoli said here Tuesday.
Zhang, who is here for the UN Climate Summit as Chinese President Xi Jinping's special envoy, made the remarks in a meeting with Dutch Queen Maxima, who serves as the UN Secretary- General's Special Advocate for Inclusive Finance for Development.
China supports the international community in boosting communication and cooperation and building a financial system that benefits all countries and peoples across the world, Zhang said, stressing with the network, efforts should also be made to ensure that the people in developing countries have access to modern, safe and convenient financial services.
Beijing encourages international deliberations on integrating inclusive finance into the post-2015 development agenda, and stands ready to boost cooperation with other members of the international community in this regard, said the Chinese Vice Premier.
While noting that China has rolled out a variety of innovative measures in the financial sector, Maxima said she looks forward to an early visit to China and further discussions with the Chinese side on inclusive finance.
On China-Netherlands relations, Zhang recalled President Xi Jinping's successful visit to the Netherlands in March, and spoke highly of the Dutch royalty's contribution to bilateral ties. He also suggested that both sides should continue to implement the consensus leaders of the two countries have reached and strive for new progress in the development of the two nations' relationship.
