BEIJING - China's second international cultural trade base was officially opened on Monday in Beijing.
Located at Beijing Capital Airport's Tianzhu Free Trade Zone, the National Base for International Cultural Trade (Beijing) is a collection of cultural trade enterprises and institutions, exhibitions and logistics centers.
The base reflects the scale of development, intensification and modernization of China's cultural trade, said Cai Wu, minister of culture, at the opening ceremony.
Construction of four trade centers at the site -- gemstones, film and TV, design and art -- is underway, according to Zhang Miao, a publicity official of Beijing municipality.
China's first international cultural trade base is in Shanghai, and a third is planned for the southern city of Shenzhen.
