China's southern metropolis of Shenzhen aims to carry out national policies concerning trade in technology during the upcoming China Hi-Tech Fair, the city mayor said on Wednesday.
The fair has become China's largest and most influential technology fair. One of its main tasks is to encourage more trade in technology, and the city also aims to develop the fair's international influence, Xu Qin said at a press conference in Beijing.
The 16th session of the China Hi-Tech Fair, jointly hosted by the Shenzhen government and ministries - including the National Development and Reform Commission and the Ministry of Commerce - will be held in Shenzhen from November 16 to 21.
