The NDRC says it has launched an anti-trust investigation into a number of milk powder companies, Chinese and foreign included. Bios-time, Wyeth, Nestle, Mead Johnson, Abbott and Dumex are all on the list.
The investigation is based on beliefs that these companies are holding an unusually large share of the Chinese market via high prices and limited market competition. So far four of these companies have confirmed that they've been contacted by the commission.
Dumex, Nestle and Wyeth have all promised a positive attitude in response to the investigation.
