Gold price opens higher in Hong Kong

HONG KONG -- The gold price in Hong Kong went up HK$102 to open at HK$12,910 per tael on Thursday, according to the Chinese Gold and Silver Exchange Society.
The price is equivalent to $1,396.51 a troy ounce, up 11.03 dollars at the latest exchange rate of $1 against HK$7.76.
