Gold price opens lower in Hong Kong

HONG KONG - The gold price in Hong Kong went down HK$180 to open at HK$12,720 per tael on Thursday, according to the Chinese Gold and Silver Exchange Society.
The price is equivalent to $1,375.96 a troy ounce, down $19.47 at the latest exchange rate of $1 against HK$7.76.
