Chinese SOEs reports slower profit growth

BEIJING - China's State-owned enterprises (SOEs) saw their total profit growth slow to 5.3 percent year on year to reach 689.13 billion yuan ($111.32 billion) in the first four months, the Ministry of Finance announced Wednesday.
The growth rate slowed from 7.7 percent recorded in the first quarter this year.
