HONG KONG -- Hong Kong stocks closed up 217.34 points, or 0.96 percent, at 22,777.84 on Wednesday.
The benchmark Hang Seng Index traded between 22,808.81 and 22,664.94. Turnover totaled HK$73.25 billion (about $9.44 billion).
