BEIJING -- Chinese shares closed mixed Friday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 0.26 percent, or 6.09 points, to end at 2,359.51.
The Shenzhen Component Index gained 0.09 percent, or 8.71 points, to end at 9,650.14.
