Argentina announced a five-year anti-dumping duty on Jan 29 on ceramic tiles from China ranging from $8.77 to $12.2 per square meter, the Ministry of Commerce said.
On Aug 28, the Argentine government decided to levy an interim antidumping duty at $4.62 per square meter on ceramic tiles from China. The decision was valid for six months from Aug 28.
Chinese tiles have been targeted by the European Union too.
The European Commission said on Monday it had started to investigate whether imports of ceramic tiles from China are being dumped on the EU market following a complaint lodged in May by the European Ceramic Tile Manufacturers' Federation.
