Gold price opens higher in Hong Kong

HONG KONG -- The gold price in Hong Kong went up HK$80 to open at HK$14,660 per tael on Friday, according to the Chinese Gold and Silver Exchange Society.
The price is equivalent to $1,586.63 a troy ounce, up $8.66 at the latest exchange rate of $1 against HK$7.756.
