BEIJING - Chinese shares closed lower Monday, as the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index decreased 0.70 percent, or 16.18 points, to end at 2,309.50.
The Shenzhen Component Index lost 0.28 percent, or 26.22 points, to 9,355.48.
