China's power consumption growth quickens in Oct

BEIJING - Growth of China's electricity consumption accelerated to 6.1 percent year-on-year in October from September's 2.9-percent rise, the National Energy Administration said Wednesday.
The country's electricity consumption climbed 4.9 percent in the first ten months compared with one year earlier. The pace of increase was also higher than the 4.8-percent growth registered during the January-September period.
