China CNR Corp Ltd, one of the country's main rail equipment makers, has recently signed 13 sales contracts worth 7.24 billion yuan ($1.159 billion), the company said on Monday.
The amount of the contracts represents 8.1 percent of CNR's total income in 2011, which was 89 billion yuan, the company said.
Five of the contracts, which were signed with the Ministry of Railways, are worth over 5 billion yuan, while three of the deals were export contracts to the United States and Australia and are worth about 459 million yuan.
Last month, CNR also signed an export contract with the government of Rio de Janeiro in Brazil. That contract is worth 2.3 billion yuan, accounting for 2.57 percent of the company's income in 2011.
