China Development Bank will prioritize loans to 12 leading solar companies, the China Securities Journal reported on Tuesday.
A CDB source said the bank plans to boost its financial support to the struggling Chinese solar industry, and will soon submit its suggestions to the National Development and Reform Commission.
CDB will ensure the credit quotas of 12 leading solar companies, including six giants such as Suntech, Trina and Yingli, as well as smaller companies.
Chinese solar companies are struggling due to the sluggish global market, and anti-dumping actions taken by the United States and the European Union.
