SINGAPORE -- Global Logistic Properties, Singapore's logistics major, announced Monday its strategic partnership agreement with China's Haier Group in developing a state-of-the-art logistics network for the distribution of household appliances across China.
According to the agreement, the two companies will collaborate closely to develop and operate logistics facilities catering to Haier's requirements for logistics centers across China, aiming at "an expanded customer base for GLP within the home appliance distribution industry and further supply chain optimization for Haier".
The two companies are scheduled to conduct their three initial projects in Shanghai, Tianjin and Chengdu in the next few months as a start of the entire cooperation, with expansion into additional markets to follow shortly after.
The GLP did not mention the cost of the project in the news release.
