BEIJING -- Chinese stocks closed lower on Friday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 0.24 percent, or 5.29 points, to close at 2,168.81.
The Shenzhen Component Index closed at 9,238.2, down 1.06 percent, or 99.34 points.
