SHIJIAZHUANG -- A solar energy company based in North China's Hebei province has recently registered a subsidiary in Australia, aiming to tap the fledgling market, sources with the company said Saturday.
Headquartered in Sydney, the subsidiary of Yingli Green Energy Holding Co Ltd will provide solar modules, as well as after-sale services, in the Australian market, according to the company.
The company will also sell solar modules to New Zealand and other South Pacific countries, it said.
Established in 1987, Yingli Green Energy and its subsidiaries are mainly engaged in the design, development, manufacturing and marketing of photovoltaic products in both China and overseas markets.
The company went public on the New York Stock Exchange in June 2007.
