Gold price opens higher in Hong Kong

HONG KONG - The gold price in Hong Kong went up HK$310 to open at $14,910 per tael on Monday, according to the Chinese Gold and Silver Exchange Society.
The price is equivalent to $1,613.27 a troy ounce, up $33.54 at the latest exchange rate of $1 against HK$7.758.
