The APEC China CEO Forum - the first of its kind - will take place on June 7 and 8 in Beijing.
China, with its consistent economic growth, has drawn much attention from other members of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation organization. As a result, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and the Asia Inc Forum, an organizer of APEC CEO summits, have agreed to organize the APEC China CEO Forum 2012.
The forum will be held in China every year and will have the aim of deepening understanding and promoting Asia-Pacific economic cooperation, according to Yu Ping, deputy head of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade.
Among those at the event will be Wan Jifei, chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, and Gary Locke, US ambassador to China.
Under the theme "The Challenges of Development", top government and business leaders around the region will discuss the current economy, identify the direction of future trends and assess cooperation in various ways for the Asia-Pacific region.
