Hong Kong records HK$500m surplus in April

HONG KONG - Hong Kong government expenditure for the month ending April 30 was HK$24.9 billion($3.21 billion), with revenue of HK$25.4 billion, resulting in a surplus of HK$500 million.
The city's Financial Services & the Treasury Bureau said the surplus was due to the receipt of salaries and profits taxes.
Hong Kong's Fiscal reserves stood at HK$669.6 billion as at April 30.
