The European Union has given 10 Chinese and Indian airlines a "mid-June" deadline to report carbon emission data they failed to submit by March 31, according to EU Climate Action Commissioner Connie Hedegaard.
National regulators have already been in contact with officials from the two nations "to remind them of their obligations" under the EU carbon market, Hedegaard said on Tuesday at a news briefing in Brussels.
