The Zhengzhou garden shop of French retailer Carrefour resumed business on March 24, six days after a suspension in operations due to a food scandal.
The shop was ordered to close on March 18 after China Central Television exposed that it mislabeled its chicken meat and sold expired fresh foods. All of its meat has since been removed from shelves and the manager has been penalized. The shop was also fined over 230,000 yuan ($36,340).
