The US Department of Commerce recently made a supplementary ruling over the countervailing investigation into high-pressure steel cylinders from China demanding an increase in duty for Chinese exporters to 24.21 percent.
The US Department of Commerce claimed that preferential credit for Stated-owned companies, pension services and lower prices for power supplies, which were not resolved in the preliminary ruling, constituted subsidies and thus raised the countervailing duty, 22.34 percent in the preliminary ruling, by 1.87 percent.
The final ruling of the countervailing investigation will be made on April 30 to determine whether the US industry is "materially injured or threatened with material injury, or the establishment of an industry in the United States is materially retarded".
