Chang'an Ford recalls Mondeos

Ford's joint venture in China began a recall of 6,599 new Mondeo cars beginning May 11 for possible short circuit problems, according to China's quality watchdog.
Chang'an Ford is recalling units produced between February 14 and April 16 in 2011.
The new Mondeo, which has a turbocharged engine and double clutch transmissions, is now the flagship model in Chang'an Ford's portfolio.
The new Mondeo hit the market on March 21. Some 7,000 units were delivered the following month.
