A team of State Council inspectors started field research Tuesday in eastern Zhejiang province to see the implementation and effects of housing policies. The group will carry out its fieldwork in Hangzhou, Ningbo, and Wenzhou, Shanghai Securities News reported Wednesday.
"The central government was concerned that urban housing prices have affected the overall situation," Yun Xiaosu, the team's lead inspector and vice minister of Land and Resource, told government officials. Yun said the central government "vowed to vigorously fix the housing price issue."
An inspection team lead by the People's Bank of China Vice-governor Liu Shiyu started its work Monday in Beijing.
The State Council sent eight teams in April to 16 administrative regions to inspect the implementation of macro-control measures on the property market, People's Daily reported April 8.
The 16 regions are Beijing and Shanghai municipalities, Liaoning, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhui, Fujian, Jiangxi, Shandong, Hubei, Guangdong, Hainan, Sichuan, Shaanxi and Gansu provinces, and Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region.
