Chinese electronic appliance makers are expecting a jump in overseas sales in 2011, as they beef up investment outside the Chinese mainland.
TCL Corporation, one of the country's largest electronic appliance makers, is set to see a 15-20 percent jump in overseas sales in 2011, its CEO Li Dongsheng told China Daily, adding that his firm is increasing investment overseas, but refused to elaborate.
Zhang Xuebin, CEO of another key industry player, Skyworth Digital Holdings Ltd, is projecting an even better outcome for his company, with overseas sales expected to jump more than 50 percent.
Overseas market has the biggest growth potential for Skyworth, he told China Daily.
But like TCL's Li, he decline to reveal specific plans about overseas expansion.
