GM to add over 20 new, upgraded models in China

BEIJING - General Motors Co (GM) plans to introduce more than 20 new and upgraded models in China over the next two years, Reuters reported Tuesday.

"As our largest market, China played a significant role in GM's success in 2010," the company's Chief Executive Daniel Akerson said in a statement issued in Beijing. "We will continue investing aggressively in China to ensure the long-term success of our company."

According to the reprot, GM is the largest overseas automaker in China, where it operates auto manufacturing ventures with state auto groups SAIC Motor and FAW Group.
