Mainland to sell 8b yuan of bonds in HKi

BEIJING - Chinse mainland will issue eight billion yuan worth of bonds in Hong Kong to stimulate the fledgling market in yuan-denominated debt in the territory, the Ministry of Finance said on Monday.

The Ministry of Finance will sell five billion yuan of debt to institutional investors, broken down as follows:

The ministry will also sell three billion yuan of two-year paper to retail investors, the ministry said on its website, www.mof.gov.cn
