4 killed in US drone attack in NW Pakistan

ISLAMABAD - At least four people were killed in a US drone attack launched Friday evening in Pakistan's northwest tribal area of North Waziristan, reported local Urdu TV channel Geo News.

According to the report, the US drone fired three missiles at a vehicle suspected of carrying militants in the Miranshah area of North Waziristan, a place along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, which is believed to be stronghold of Taliban and al-Qaeda militants in the country.

Details about the killed people are not immediately available.
