The Shanghai Marathon – China's only World Marathon Majors (WMM) candidate event and a World Athletics Platinum Label race – kicked off at the Bund on Nov 30, gathering about 23,000 runners home and abroad. Several international runners praised the event for its "flat course and professional services" as the tournament is vying for a WMM status.
